Elite Group Scotland Joins the Glass and Glazing Federation

By Elite Group Scotland | News & Accreditations

We have some exciting news to share: Elite Group Scotland are now proud members of the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) the UK's leading trade body for companies working in the glass and glazing industry. This is another significant step in our commitment to giving our customers the highest possible levels of confidence and protection when they choose us for their windows and doors.

What is the Glass and Glazing Federation?

The Glass and Glazing Federation has been the voice of the UK glass and glazing industry for over 40 years. It represents hundreds of companies involved in the manufacture, supply and installation of windows, doors, conservatories, glazed extensions and other glass products, setting professional and technical standards for the industry and protecting the interests of customers who use member companies.

GGF membership isn't simply a matter of paying a subscription. Members must demonstrate that they meet the Federation's requirements for quality, professionalism and customer service, and must commit to following the GGF's Code of Good Practice. It is a genuine, independently recognised mark of professionalism in our industry.

Why We Applied for GGF Membership

When you're inviting a company into your home to carry out significant improvement work, you want to know they're credible, accountable and held to recognised professional standards. Our own word alone isn't enough and we wouldn't expect it to be.

Joining the GGF is our way of giving our customers independent, third-party verification that Elite Group Scotland meets the professional standards expected of a reputable glazing company. Combined with our Consumer Protection Association (CPA) membership which we announced earlier this year. GGF membership means our customers now have two of the most respected industry accreditations backing every installation we complete.

What GGF Membership Means for Our Customers

As a GGF member, every customer who chooses Elite Group Scotland now benefits from:

Confidence that we meet the GGF's professional and technical standards for window and door installation

The assurance that we abide by the GGF Code of Good Practice, covering quality, transparency and customer service

Access to the GGF's independent conciliation service if any issue arises that we cannot resolve directly

Up-to-date knowledge — GGF membership keeps us current with the latest industry regulations, standards and best practice

An independently verified track record of professionalism, not just our own claims

The GGF Code of Good Practice

One of the most important aspects of GGF membership is the requirement to follow the GGF's Code of Good Practice. This sets out clear standards for how member companies should operate from the accuracy of quotes and the clarity of written contracts, through to the quality of installations and the handling of any customer complaints.

For our customers, this is meaningful. It means there's an agreed, industry-recognised framework governing how we do business and if you ever felt we hadn't lived up to those standards, you would have access to an independent conciliation service to help resolve the matter fairly.

GGF and CPA Together — The Strongest Protection in the Industry

Elite Group Scotland now hold membership of both the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and the Consumer Protection Association (CPA). We believe this combination gives our customers some of the strongest protection available anywhere in the UK home improvement market:

GGF: professional standards, Code of Good Practice and independent conciliation

CPA: deposit and payment protection, insurance-backed guarantees and dispute resolution

Our own 10-year installation guarantee on every job we carry out

Together, these accreditations mean that when you choose Elite Group Scotland, you're not just taking our word for it, you have independent, third-party organisations standing behind the quality and integrity of our work.

Our Commitment to Central Scotland Homeowners

Joining the GGF is part of our ongoing effort to be the most trustworthy window and door installer in central Scotland. We cover Falkirk, Stirling, Edinburgh, Livingston, Dunfermline, Alloa and all surrounding areas — and wherever we work, we want our customers to feel completely confident in their choice.
